Job summary

Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team in Mansfield, CT. This casual position focuses on providing person-centered care to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities and assisting with daily activities, independence, and community integration.

Role requires documentation in English, ability to lift up to 100lbs in some cases, and passing background/health checks. A supportive environment with benefits and probationary terms is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to document care given in English and speak English clearly.
• Must be able to stand, move, twist, bend, kneel, reach, lift and walk during the shift.
• Ability to pass a background check, driving and identity verifications, and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming and meal prep.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote independence.
• Document daily activities and incidents accurately.
• Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA.
