Job summary

The TemPositions Group in New York is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide essential direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities under the supervision of the Residence Manager.

You will help foster a safe, normalized, and therapeutic home environment built on encouragement, respect for resident rights, and person-centered care. The role includes daily living support, documentation, and coordinating transportation and appointments.

Qualifications

• Background clearances required: pre-employment checks including state police and registry reviews.
• Health & safety: medical clearance and up-to-date immunizations per NY DPH.
• No disciplinary actions in the past 12 months.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active CPR or BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support residents' daily lives, independence, and personal growth.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful home environment.
• Assist with personal care tasks and self-care skills.
• Plan and coordinate transportation and appointments.
• Document daily notes and service provisions per Code of Ethics.
