Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals DSPs to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). You will assist with activities of daily living, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live independently with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license, current automotive insurance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record and healthcare registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Building positive relationships and supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene and household tasks.
• Supporting individuals in community participation, employment and social activities.
• Using adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encouraging independence and helping individuals develop new skills.
• Monitoring health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Completing documentation and maintaining schedules; ongoing training and development.
