Job summary

Butterfly Home Care is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate, in-home care in Sterling and surrounding VA areas. You will support clients with daily living activities, help them reach personal goals, and accompany them to community events. A caring, reliable attitude and strong communication are essential.

We offer full-time and part-time opportunities, ongoing training, and a supportive management team. CPR/First Aid is preferred or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support clients in achieving individualized goals outlined in their service plans.
• Accompany clients to community outings, recreational activities, appointments, and social events.
• Teach and reinforce independent living skills, communication skills, and community integration.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment.
• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and required reports.
• Communicate effectively with families, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Follow agency policies, procedures, and state regulations.
