Job summary

Butterfly Home Care in Virginia is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate in-home care for individuals with disabilities and aging adults. You will assist with ADLs, accompany clients to activities, and help implement individual goals from service plans.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, reliable, and able to follow care plans. CPR/First Aid is preferred. We offer competitive pay ($18-$20/hr), flexible schedules, and opportunities for career growth in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Compassionate and reliable caregiver with good communication.
• Ability to follow care plans and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Assist clients with ADLs, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meals.
• Support clients in achieving goals outlined in service plans.
• Accompany clients to community outings, appointments, and social events.
• Teach independent living and communication skills; maintain a safe environment.
• Complete accurate daily documentation and required reports.
• Communicate effectively with families, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Follow agency policies, procedures, and state regulations.
