Butterfly Home Care is hiring Male Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide compassionate in-home and community-based support in Herndon, VA. DSPs assist with ADLs, personal care, and daily living skills while helping clients meet individualized goals within their service plans.

The role includes accompanying clients to outings and appointments, documenting progress, and maintaining safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Assist and support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support clients in achieving individualized goals outlined in their service plans.
• Accompany clients to community outings, recreational activities, appointments, and social events.
• Teach and reinforce independent living skills, communication skills, and community integration.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment.
• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and required reports.

Butterfly Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Male Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) Caregivers to provide in-home and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Herndon, VA location.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Assist and support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks and any state-required screenings.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
