Job summary

Dominion Care is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one, person-centered support to an individual in Newport News, VA. The role includes assisting with daily routines, promoting health and safety, and helping the individual achieve personal goals within home and community settings.

The position offers evening and weekend hours, with up to 31 hours per week, and potential for additional hours in the Tidewater ID/DD Waiver Program for those seeking more

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Reliable transportation to and from assignments.
2 years of experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one, person-centered support to the individual.
Assist with ADLs and daily living activities.
Monitor health and medication needs when applicable.
Document progress and maintain accurate time records.
Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
Offer behavioral support and help develop social skills and independence.
