Job summary

Royal Crown Homes LLC in Bloomington, MN is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Staff member to join our Arden Hills and New Brighton team. This part-time role provides personalized care and supports individuals with disabilities in home-like settings.

You will work 2PM-10PM and every other weekend, gain hands-on experience with ISPs, medication administration, and daily self-care assistance. We value patience, strong communication, and a genuine commitment to dignity and empowerment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check as required by Minnesota DHS
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to obtain or current certification in CPR/First Aid
• Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnights
• Genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care 1:1 or 2:1 to individuals in there own homes
• Provide Daily support to individuals with developmental or physical disabilities in Arden hills and New Brighton area
• Assist/ remind the individuals of personal hygiene, grooming, and daily self-care routines
• Support individuals in community integration activities and outings
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
• Administer medications and follow health care protocols as directed
• Foster a safe, respectful, and empowering environment for all residents
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
