Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver to provide direct support, guidance, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental disabilities. The goal is to empower people to live as independently as possible while maintaining dignity and respect.

You will contribute to daily living activities, promote safety and growth, and work within a supportive, mission-driven team. We offer training and a path to growth in a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.

• Computer skills for documentation
• Valid Driver's License (due to transporting persons served)

• Good communication is key in this role. You’ll rely on your reading, writing, and communication skills to document care, follow support plans, and collaborate with both internal and external team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.
