Job summary

Midwest Health Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker (meds) to provide direct care to community residents, focusing on daily living activities. The role includes help with housekeeping, laundry, mealtime service, and following the Executive Director's assignments.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with mobility, bathing, dressing, and meals; recording vitals; managing med room; and reporting to the RN. The position requires weekend/holiday availability and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Regular attendance at work site.
• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Able to work beyond normal hours, including weekends/holidays.
• Able to assist with lifting and transfers using gait belt or help from another staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents focused on activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, and meals.
• Take and record vitals per schedule.
• Perform housekeeping, laundry, and meal service as required.
• Document and report resident information before leaving shift.
• Maintain med room and med cart in clean condition.
• Pass medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Report to RN for medications needing refills.
• Work rotating weekends and holidays as required.
