Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living for residents in a community setting. The role includes bathing, dressing, feeding support, and help with mobility, while maintaining clean facilities and compliant documentation.

The position requires lifting, transfer support, and adherence to safety policies. You will work with the care team to ensure residents’ comfort and dignity, including weekend and holiday shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in and out of bed and into wheelchair according to procedure.
• Assist residents with bathing and dressing.
• Take and record vital signs of residents.
• Provide mealtime service and assist with feeding as needed.
• Maintain med room in a clean and orderly manner.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry services as scheduled by the Executive Director.
