Team Select Home Care is seeking a Direct Care Worker to provide non-medical personal care and assist with activities of daily living in the home for sick and disabled individuals. You will report to the Director of Operations and work within state guidelines.

Responsibilities include bathing, transfers, meals, light housekeeping, documentation, and maintaining confidentiality. Strong communication and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Sympathetic attitude toward care of the sick.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
• Good verbal and written communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical personal care and assist with activities of daily living in the home.
• Assist with transfers and use of transfer devices per state regulations.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding; encourage eating as assigned.
• Assist with simple treatments and routine exercises as assigned.
• Provide emotional support and manage difficult behaviors.
• Assist with instrumental activities of daily living such as grocery shopping.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment; light housekeeping and errands.
