Job summary

Jacksons Homes LLC is seeking a Direct Care Worker (DCW) to provide hands-on care and supervision for residents in an Adult Foster Care home. This role emphasizes health, safety, dignity, independence, and well‑being following individual care plans. 12-hour shifts are typical.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and able to build positive relationships with residents. Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans and supervisory instructions.
• Must complete medication administration training and competency requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtained within timeframe.
• Must pass criminal history/background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily support to residents according to individualized care plans.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding and personal hygiene.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and transportation as needed.
• Administer and assist with medications according to MAR and physician orders.
• Document all medications administered and report errors or concerns to supervisor.
• Complete required medication training and demonstrate competency before administering medications.
