Job summary

Morningside Ministries in Boerne, TX is seeking a Server to deliver friendly, high-quality dining room service to residents and guests under the Dining Room Manager. You will assist with food selections, ensure timely delivery, and help reset tables for the next service.

The ideal candidate has basic kitchen experience, reads and follows directives in English, works well in a team, and adheres to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Must have sufficient education to be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directives in English.
• Training and Experience: Some kitchen experience is desirable.
• Certifications/Licenses: None required.
• Job Knowledge: Should be familiar with basic food preparation tasks and should know how to maintain a sanitary work area.

Responsibilities

• Set up station with supplies prior to serving and replenish as needed.
• Greet customers courteously and assist with questions.
• Take orders, relay to production, and serve courses.
• Monitor customers and fulfill additional requests.
• Clear and reset tables for next service.
• Record orders and ensure correct meal per resident.
• Clean and reset service areas per schedules.
• Identify safety and sanitation hazards and report them.
• Follow food handling standards and safety procedures.
• Assist with dishwashing as needed.
• Attend department meetings and in-service trainings.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Assist with floral arrangement duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
