Job summary

Yona Solutions is seeking a dedicated Server to provide warm, friendly hospitality to residents, visitors, and coworkers. You will assist with food prep, table setup, and timely service while ensuring cleanliness and comfort in dining areas.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Server
• Customer service experience appreciated
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Apt in operating cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
• Must provide a criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food in quantities according to the menu, recipe, and number of persons to be served
• Sets up dining room as instructed
• Prepares items such as salads and beverages
• Greets customers as they are seated; ensures table is clean and utensils and napkins are provided
• Distributes menus and presents daily specials
• Answers questions regarding the menu
• Takes resident orders in dining room and serves meals in a timely manner
• Ensures food is prepared correctly and to residents' satisfaction; returns incorrect orders to kitchen
• Cleans resident eating areas, work areas, equipment and utensils
• Collects and stacks dirty dishes and returns cart to kitchen
• Washes cooking equipment, carts, pots, pans, dishes and utensils
• Cleans surfaces, sweeps and mops floor
• Removes garbage
• Stores food in designated areas
• Reports issues to Food Services Director
• Complies with sanitation standards
• Complies with health care and safety standards
• Attends in-services and required meetings
• Performs other duties as assigned
