Job summary

The Laurel at Vernon Hills Memory Care in Vernon Hills, IL is seeking a dedicated Dining Room Server to provide an extraordinary dining experience for residents. This role supports front-of-house service, helps with food presentation, and contributes to a welcoming community environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Previous food service experience is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (pushing, pulling, bending, standing) and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Must speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide front of house dining experience: serving, clearing, cleaning, and assisting residents with food selection and table service.
• Deliver a high level of customer service to residents and guests.
• Occasionally plate and/or taste foods before they go out to maintain quality.
• Deliver room service trays as needed.
• Assist with special events as required.
• Adhere to proper food handling and sanitation guidelines and infection control procedures.
• Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and comfort.
• Complete state-required training on hire and annually.
