Job summary

Sun Terrace Hermiston is seeking caring individuals to join our retirement and assisted living team as a Server/Dietary Helper. You will prepare and deliver meals, assist with dining service, and help residents enjoy their dining experience.

This role emphasizes compassion, customer service, infection control, and teamwork with residents, families, volunteers, and staff. No prior experience required beyond a willingness to learn; ability to lift up to 40 pounds and obtain a Food Handler's card

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain Food Handler's Card.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Compassionate and respectful toward seniors.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver meals to residents.
• Confirm meal satisfaction and fill requests.
• Bus tables, change linens, reset tables after meals.
• Maintain infection control standards.
• Plate and deliver food to tables and rooms.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, tables, chairs.
• Relate and communicate with residents, families, volunteers, and staff.
