Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Union City, TN is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation, service, and cleanup for residents. You will help maintain a sanitary dining room and ensure timely meal delivery.

Responsibilities include food prep, dishwashing, and supporting kitchen staff to meet meal schedules. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of large-scale cooking experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a large-scale cooking operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food ordering, storage and preparation as designated by the supervisor.
• Assist cooks as directed by the supervisor.
• Prepare and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads and other non-entree foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follow production sheets and pre-preparation guidelines when appropriate.
• Complete pre-preparation including washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits for use; slice meat and weigh for menu compliance and nutrition accuracy.
• Follow the cleaning schedule; clean equipment and work area after use; sweep and mop kitchen floors; take trash to dumpster; wash pots and pans as assigned.
• Assume responsibility for meeting meal schedules.
• Wash dishes and silverware; put away clean dishes; assist with cleaning of equipment, dishes, silverware and kitchen as assigned.
• Assist in preparation of food items and tray lines; work on meal tray serving line; set up before meal service and clean up afterward.
