Job summary

Cypress Grove Post Acute in Jackson, TN, is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare meals per planned menus and ensure proper temperatures and adherence to therapeutic diets. This full-time role supports the Dietitian and Dietary Services Supervisor to deliver high-quality food service for residents.

Minimum one year of cooking experience is required, with dietary experience preferred. We offer medical, dental, vision, a 401(k), paid time off, orientation, and ongoing training for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• One year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred but not required.
• One year cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and temperature requirements.
• Prepare food for therapeutic and texture modified diets per diet orders.
• Assist in preparing and serving residents' nutritional snacks and nourishments as ordered.
• Ensure utensils and equipment accompany the resident’s meal tray as ordered.
• Offer alternate food choices to residents who refuse foods served in compliance with diet orders.
