Job summary

RegalCare at Worcester is seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a home-like setting. You will ensure food safety, follow menus reviewed with the Food Services Director, and perform related administrative tasks and kitchen organization.

The role requires 2 years of dietary experience, a high school diploma (Culinary Arts a plus), and strong interaction with residents and staff. Leadership and adherence to dietary regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of dietary experience.
• Culinary Arts training a plus.
• Ability to interact effectively with residents and staff.
• Must follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures and related laws governing food service operations.
• Leadership ability and willingness to supervise personnel.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to food preparation.
• Perform administrative duties such as forms and reports.
• Assure all dietary procedures are followed.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (slicer, processor, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwasher).
• Organize walk-in freezer, storeroom, tables and counters.
• Assist in establishing food production lines for timely meals.
• Represent the community with a professional attitude with residents and families.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals with quality presentation.
