Job summary

The Berkeley in Morganton, NC is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our kitchen team and help provide nutritious meals to residents. You will assist with meal preparation, serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience while following safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and basic food safety knowledge. Prior food service is preferred but not required; we offer benefits, PTO, and opportunities for growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation, portioning, and serving to residents per dietary plans.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
• Provide meal assistance and ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
• Follow food safety protocols, storage, handling, and sanitation practices.
• Assist with inventory and communicate shortages to Dietary Manager.
• Collaborate with dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Assist with fulfilling special dietary requests and resident preferences.
