Job summary

Hidalgo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Dietary Aide to support dining services. You will follow the guidance of the Certified Dietary Manager to ensure meals are prepared and served safely, and you will assist with post-meal cleanup of the dining area and kitchen.

The role involves helping with food preparation, beverage service, tray setup, and stock management, with opportunities for additional duties as assigned by the CDM or Executive Director.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate.
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food prep and cooking following universal precautions and state/federal regulations.
• Preparing and serving beverages.
• Setting up and passing trays for meal service.
• Stocking snack cart.
• Bussing of tables and trays.
• Cleaning the kitchen work area.
• Dishwashing.
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines.
• Additional special projects or tasks can be assigned by supervisor.
