Job summary

Ranch House Senior Living in Kansas is seeking a Dietary Aide to support kitchen operations, assist in meal service, and help maintain clean, safe food preparation areas.

You will follow safety policies, handle nourishment snacks, and assist with daily cleaning while respecting residents with dignity. Strong English reading/writing and basic computer skills are required; some weekend or holiday work may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours including weekends/holidays.
• Employee may be required to use a transfer/gait belt to assist residents.
• Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the kitchen before, during and after meals and keep equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Assist in serving meals and pouring beverages; prepare and serve in-between meal nourishment snacks.
• Follow safety regulations and infection control policies; report hazards to your supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and family information; treat residents with dignity and respect.
• Assist cooks when needed and ensure utensils and equipment are available for the next meal; assist with cleaning duties.
• Perform dishwashing and waste disposal; keep work areas clean, dry and hazard-free.
• Report all accidents/ incidents to your supervisor; assist in evacuations during emergencies.
