Job summary

Recover-Care is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation, service, and cleanup for patients and staff in a nursing center. You will follow center procedures to label nourishments and portions, and support the kitchen team with desserts, salads and beverages.

The role emphasizes strong communication, basic sanitation knowledge, and prior food service and long-term care experience to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service.
• Prior experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepare and label nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepare and portion desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follow production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
