Job summary

Nexus of Belleville is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to support patient meal service and maintain clean, safe kitchen and dining areas. You will help with meal preparation, patient communication, and dietary records in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities include documenting patient preferences, dietary restrictions, and allergies; adhering to safety standards; and supporting the dietary team to ensure timely meal delivery and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn dietary software

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks to patients and staff
• Maintain accurate records of patient food preferences, dietary restrictions, and allergies
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and patient rooms
• Restock supplies and maintain inventory levels
• Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure efficient meal delivery and excellent customer service
• Follow proper food safety and handling procedures
