Job summary

Echelon Care and Rehab is seeking a Dietary Aide to perform food service tasks and help maintain sanitary food service areas. The role may involve assisting with some food preparation and delivering meals to residents in their rooms and dining areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand directions in English language.
• Working knowledge of the methods and techniques of handling and serving food.
• Working knowledge of sanitation practices relating to food handling.
• Ability to follow diet lists, portion food as specified and serve food in an appetizing manner.
• Provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.

Responsibilities

• Reports at assigned time, in uniform, ready for duty.
• Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Delivers food carts, trays, etc. to designated areas, including resident rooms and dining room.
• Serve in dining rooms and prepare/deliver snacks as directed.
• Assists in daily cleaning duties and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Ensures residents and families receive high quality service in a caring atmosphere.
