Job summary

Lafayette Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Detroit seeks a part-time Dietary Aide to assist with daily food-service operations and ensure residents receive meals accurately, safely, and on time.

The role works closely with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents’ nutritional needs and adheres to dietary guidelines while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and dining area.

Qualifications

• Experience in food-service environments preferred
• Ability to follow dietary guidelines and textures
• Strong attention to cleanliness and safety standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food according to menus and dietary guidelines
• Assemble and deliver resident meal trays per prescribed diets and preferences
• Assist residents with meal service and maintain a pleasant dining environment
• Follow infection-control and food-safety procedures
• Receive, stock, and rotate food and supplies
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
