Evercare in Edwardsville, IL seeks a Dietary/Kitchen Aide to support all food service functions, ensuring nutritious meals and a clean, sanitary kitchen. You will work with residents, families, and staff to deliver meals and maintain proper safety standards throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Ability to work effectively with elderly residents.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and serve meals according to planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders.
• Ensure food preparation, storage, and service areas comply with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Assist with meal preparation, cooking, serving, and clean-up activities.
• Prepare and distribute snacks and nourishments as assigned.
• Deliver meals and food items to designated areas as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, equipment, and storage rooms.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Follow infection control, food safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supplies.
• Work cooperatively with residents, families, and staff members.
• Attend required in-service training and staff meetings.
