Aperion Care in Chicago is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation and service in accordance with planned menus and dietary orders. You will also help maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining area, assist with delivering meals and snacks, and ensure proper sanitation practices are followed.

The role requires English fluency, a patient and cheerful disposition, and a commitment to infection control and safety standards in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must maintain the care & use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing food practices.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Responsabilités

• Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders.
• Prepare & serve residents nutritional bedtime snacks as well as substitute foods for residents who refuse foods served.
• Ensure food, etc., is prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Ensure department is clean & safe; maintain equipment & supplies; follow Infection Control Precautions.
• Dishwashing/cleaning procedures; ensure utensils are available for next meal.
• Prepare & deliver snacks, deliver food carts/trays; serve food and drinks in dining room; sweep/mop floors in kitchen/dish room.
