Job summary

PruittHealth in Florida–Lutz (North Tampa) is seeking a full-time dietary support/food service aide for the North Tampa facility. The role involves assisting with meal preparation, delivering trays, cleaning and maintaining sanitation in the kitchen, and ensuring safety and infection control standards are followed. 1st shift, on-site position.

Minimum education is basic literacy with on-the-job training provided. Prior food service experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Preferred: prior food service experience in long-term care (optional).

Responsibilities

• Follows diet orders and NPO diet orders.
• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Uses proper food handling processes, procedures and policies.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Delivers and serves meals to patients/residents in dining area.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments and serves per guidelines.
