Job summary

Prescott Village Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in food preparation, service, and cleanup for meals served to patients and staff. Responsibilities include assisting the cook, labeling nourishments, and portioning desserts and salads in accordance with center procedures.

The role emphasizes strong communication, sanitation, and safety awareness. Previous food service and long-term care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
