Job summary

Cambridge Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in all food functions in a California facility. You will work with residents, passing meals, assisting dietician and cooks, and ensuring meals meet dietary needs with proper portion controls.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, clear communication, and teamwork with nursing and other departments. You may be required to follow safety rules, handle supplies, and help with dishwashing and sanitation as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Some experience helpful; on-the-job training will be provided.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Dietician / Dietary Management and Cook as requested.
• Helping with meal preparation in accordance to the dietary needs of the residents.
• Assisting in serving meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Timely setting up of meal service and delivery of meal trays and food carts.
• Following the established portion controls recommended.
• Adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up.
• Keeping work tables clean, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Dishwashing and cleaning of utensils
• Returning clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Carrying out garbage
• Disposing of food and waste per facility regulations
• Obtaining food supplies for the next meal
• Following safety regulations and precautions at all times
• Reporting any occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials to a supervisor immediately
• Adhering to all facility policies and procedures of the facility
• Maintaining confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information
