Job summary

The Waters of Muncie Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team. You will help prepare and serve meals, ensuring residents receive nutritious, appetizing options in a compassionate environment.

As part of our dietary team, you will help maintain sanitation standards, assist with tray delivery, and document temperatures and inventory to support high-quality care. This role emphasizes resident well-being and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service operations is preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Physically able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation by washing, peeling, and chopping fruits and vegetables and by preparing and serving meals to residents.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by sanitizing food prep areas, washing dishes, and restocking supplies.
• Assist with tray service by setting up and delivering meals and collecting trays after meals.
• Provide courteous service by responding to resident requests and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, inventory, and related information.
