Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will assist with food preparation, portion meals to dietary needs, and keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and sanitary.

You will interact positively with residents and staff, follow safety guidelines, and perform additional duties as needed. Previous food service experience is welcome but not required; ServSafe certification may be required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate with occupants and leadership.
• Covid-19 vaccination policies may apply.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state law.
• Residency within service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
