Job summary

Pearl of Rolling Meadows is seeking a Dietary Aide to perform routine dietary tasks and assist the cook in meal service within a long-term care setting. You will follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards and help ensure timely meals and proper sanitation.

Qualifications include a High School diploma (preferred) and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. COVID vaccine is required. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, with adherence to HIPAA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required or preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders and tray cards.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Assist the cook in the preparation and service of meals.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department Policy and Procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Assist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts and serving meals.
• Setting up the dining room and serving the residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
