Job summary

WeCare Centers is hiring a Dietary Aide for our Waynesburg, PA facility. The Dietary Aide will assist in meal preparation, serving, and sanitation to support residents’ nutritional needs.

Key responsibilities include maintaining clean kitchen areas, ensuring correct tray diets, and assisting cooks. The role requires at least 1 year of food service experience and ability to follow sanitary regulations and facility procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet all health compliance and competency requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Minimum 1 year food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.
• Serves meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
• Serves food from steam table and/or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
• Honors residents food likes, dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
• Ensures food supplies for the next day production is available.
• Assists cooks in preparing meals as directed.
• Uses proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.
