Job summary

PACE Southeast Michigan is seeking a Dietary Associate to handle routine dietary duties, including food preparation, meal service, and sanitation under supervision of the Registered Dietitian and Center Manager.

The role requires High School diploma or GED, ServSafe certification, CPR, and experience with elderly populations. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. CMS-compliant competency is required before independent work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification with ANSI required.
• Current CPR card required.
• Long term care or hospital food service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (MS Outlook and MS Word) required.
• Experience working with a frail or elderly population preferred.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets parameters.

Responsibilities

• Assists in food preparation and serves meals, snacks, beverages and supplements with portion control.
• Prepares meals per diet orders and ensures timely service.
• Washes, sanitizes, and stores dishes and adaptive feeding equipment.
• Receives and stores food and supplies.
• Labels food properly and maintains storage areas.
