Job summary

PACE Southeast Michigan is seeking a Dietary Associate to perform routine tasks in the dietary department under the direction of the Registered Dietitian and Day Health Center Manager. The role includes food preparation, meal service, and maintaining sanitation in a care setting.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, current ServSafe certification, CPR, and prior long-term care or hospital food service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification with ANSI required.
• Current CPR card required.
• Long term care or hospital food service experience.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills (MS Outlook and MS Word).
• Must have one year of experience working with a frail or elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of food and is responsible for serving meals, snacks and nutrition supplements.
• Prepares meals according to diet orders and serves appropriate meals in a timely manner.
• Washes, sanitizes and stores dishes and adaptive feeding equipment.
• Receives and stores food and supplies with proper labeling.
• Maintains equipment and reports malfunctions to the Registered Dietitian.
• Follows safety, infection control, and hazardous material policies.
