Eastern Health Group in Suffolk, VA, is seeking a diligent kitchen helper to assist in food preparation and serving within the dietary department under the supervision of the Dietary Director.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, checking trays, stocking supplies, maintaining clean, sanitary conditions, and participating in process improvements to enhance resident satisfaction. Experience in hospital/long-term care dietary is preferred.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience in hospital or long-term care dietary department preferred.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and maintain confidentiality.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work under pressure.

Mansioni

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
• Identify and check trays for menu and diet preferences and accuracy.
• Set up trays and deliver meals to residents.
• Set up serving line with cold foods and utensils as instructed.
• Wash dishes, clean equipment, and mop floors as assigned.
• Stock and store food items; assist in inventorying incoming supplies.
• Report hazardous conditions and incidents as necessary.
• Other special projects and duties as assigned.
