Job summary

Valley Mental Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in our kitchen, supporting meal service before, during, and after meals. You will help maintain clean work areas and ensure food safety while following infection control policies.

Role requires basic computer skills, ability to read/write/speak English, and reliable attendance. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally work evenings or weekends as needed. A supportive team environment is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends/holidays when necessary.
• Employee is required to use a transfer/gait belt or obtain assistance when lifting or carrying objects over 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in kitchen before, during, and after meals.
• Maintain kitchen areas and keep equipment, utensils and food plates clean and orderly.
• Assist in serving meals and pouring beverages.
• Prepare and serve in-between meal nourishment snacks.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties according to policies.
• Follow safety regulations and infection control procedures.
• Report hazards or accidents to supervisor on shift.
• Assist cook in meal preparation when needed.
