Job summary

St. Joseph's Living Center in Windham, CT is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and dining operations 16 hours per week. You will assist with meal preparation, check diet trays, and help with special meals while providing warm, respectful service to residents and staff.

This part-time role offers a daytime schedule with weekend and holiday rotation. Prior dietary experience is preferred, and fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to follow instructions.
• Prior dietary experience in hospital or long-term care preferred.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dining room and assist with meal service for timely dining experiences.
• Support food preparation, assist cooks, check diet trays, and help with special meals.
• Serve residents and staff with courtesy and compassion to maintain a positive dining environment.
• Maintain dining areas by clearing, washing, and resetting per sanitation standards.
• Protect resident confidentiality while supporting dietary needs.
