Job summary

Allure of Peru in Peru, Illinois is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our team. As a dietary aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive excellent foodservice while maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities include preparing meals per menus, serving snacks, and ensuring sanitary operations. The part-time shift runs 4pm–7pm every other weekend, with a focus on resident well-being and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must maintain sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of duties.
• Must possess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm when interacting with residents.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus and dietary orders.
• Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and substitute foods as needed.
• Ensure food, equipment, and supplies are prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations.
• Keep the department clean and safe and maintain necessary equipment and supplies.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning to keep utensils and equipment ready for the next meal.
• Prepare and deliver snacks, food carts, and trays to designated areas.
• Serve food and drinks in the dining room and maintain kitchen areas.
