Job summary

Eastern Health Group is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in the preparation and serving of meals, maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen and dining areas under the supervision of the Dietary Director.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, effective English communication, and the ability to work in a hospital or long-term care setting, with responsibilities including tray setups, meal delivery, dishwashing, and inventory support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience.
• Experience in hospital or long-term care facility dietary department preferred.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks.
• Set up trays and deliver meals to residents.
• Wash dishes, clean equipment, wipe dining room and worktables; mop floors.
• Stock and store food items; assist in inventorying and storing incoming foods and supplies.
