Job summary

Nakoma Dental in Madison, WI is seeking a friendly Dental Assistant to join a small, patient-focused team. You will assist the dentist, prepare rooms, take X-rays, and help maintain a welcoming, efficient clinical flow.

We offer a supportive environment with no evening or weekend hours and flexible full-time or part-time schedules. The ideal candidate has or is pursuing Wisconsin certification, CPR, radiography credentials, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Dental assisting experience preferred.
• Wisconsin certification/licensing required for dental assistants.
• CPR, RDA or CDA credentials as applicable in Wisconsin.
• Radiography certification preferred or required where required by state law.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments are ready.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as allowed by state rules.
• Assist with patient seating, charting, and documentation.
• Maintain infection control and sterilize equipment.
• Keep operatories clean, organized, and stocked.
