The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, willingness to work nights and weekends, and good communication skills to coordinate with first responders and care facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current state driver’s license with clean record.
• At least 1 year as courier/driver with direct customer interaction preferred.
• Ability to work weekends/nights/on-call as needed.
• Lift up to 75 pounds regularly; push/pull up to 200 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Transfers and safely drives company vehicles for first-call transfers in accordance with laws and policies.
• Maintains chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification.
• Cooperates with first responders, coroners, hospital staff, and care facilities.
• Interacts professionally with families during home transfers and shows sensitivity.
• Transports caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes; assists with moving caskets.
• Enters transfer event information into proprietary software.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and performs basic vehicle maintenance.
