Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Transfer Specialist in Torrance, CA. The role involves safe care, removal, and transport of deceased, coordinating with responders, hospitals, and facilities, and maintaining clean, well-serviced company vehicles.

Strong sensitivity to families and adherence to procedures are essential. The position requires a High School Diploma, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to lift heavy loads and work odd hours including weekends

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current state driving license with clean record.
• At least 1 year as courier/driver with customer interaction preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and push/pull up to 200 lbs.
• Must be able to work weekends/nights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely transfers deceased in compliance with laws and company policies.
• Drive and maintain company vehicles; ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Interact with families professionally during home transfers.
• Enter run details into proprietary software and coordinate with teams.
• Assist with moving caskets and transporting to airports, care centers, or funeral homes.
