Job summary

Margate Health and Rehabilitation in Jefferson, North Carolina is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated team under the supervision of a licensed OT in a skilled nursing rehabilitation setting.

You will implement treatment plans, help residents perform activities of daily living, monitor progress, document sessions, and educate residents and families while collaborating with nursing and rehabilitation staff to achieve treatment goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in North Carolina.
• Active licensure as an OTA in North Carolina.
• 1–2 years of experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation preferred; new grads considered.

Responsibilities

• Resident Care: Carry out therapy interventions to improve ADLs and mobility.
• Treatment Implementation: Provide hands-on assistance during therapy sessions.
• Progress Monitoring: Observe and document resident progress.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress.
• Resident & Family Education: Teach exercises and home adaptations for continued care.
• Collaboration: Work with OT, nursing staff, and rehab professionals to meet goals.
• Compliance: Adhere to facility policies and state/federal regulations.
