Job summary

Margate Health and Rehabilitation in Jefferson, North Carolina is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team on an as-needed basis. Qualifications

• Active North Carolina PTA license or certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Experience in a SNF or geriatric care preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Implement therapeutic exercises to improve strength, mobility, and function.
• Provide hands-on support and guidance during therapy sessions.
• Monitor and report residents' progress and update treatment plans as directed.
• Educate residents and families on exercises and safety measures after therapy.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
