Brightway Living & Learning is seeking a Cook/Housekeeper to support adults with disabilities in daily living. You will prepare meals, maintain clean, safe living spaces, and help foster meaningful relationships with residents and staff on a 40-hour weekly schedule.

Responsibilities include heavy cleaning, meal planning with menus from a Nutritionist, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Join a mission-driven team committed to growth and dignity.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines in using and disposing of household cleaning products.
• Ability to work well with staff members and individuals we support.
• Ability to cook following menus and meal preparation guidelines.
• Ability to use appropriate tools as needed in general housecleaning.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs., bend, twist, kneel and walk distances sufficient to shop for needed supplies, and in the performance of housekeeping duties.

Aufgaben

• Heavy cleaning of entire house and windows, daily or weekly as required, including bathrooms, kitchens, and all common areas.
• Meal preparation, cooking, shopping, and meal planning in coordination with menus prepared by Nutritionist.
• Report maintenance needs or hazardous conditions to Manager or Maintenance person.
• Notify supervisor immediately if house or appliances need repair.
• Help schedule and plan parties for special occasions.
• Answer telephone in a courteous and professional manner and take appropriate messages.
• Be familiar with and follow OMRDD regulations regarding food, kitchen area and cleanliness of house.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
