Brightway Living & Learning on Long Island is seeking a part-time Cook/Housekeeper to support adults with disabilities in daily living. You will prepare meals according to menus and keep living spaces clean, safe, and welcoming, working with staff and individuals we support.

The role offers flexible hours, a strong team environment, and opportunities to grow within a committed nonprofit that serves over 1,600 individuals.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to read and follow safety guidelines.
• Ability to cook following menus and meal preparation guidelines.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and perform housekeeping duties.
• Ability to work well with staff members and individuals we support.
• Familiarity with safety and cleanliness regulations for household settings.

Aufgaben

• Heavy cleaning of entire house and windows as required, including bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Meal preparation, cooking, shopping, and planning in coordination with Nutritionist menus.
• Report maintenance needs or hazardous conditions to Manager or Maintenance.
• Notify supervisor about repairs needed for house or appliances.
• Help schedule and plan parties for special occasions.
• Answer telephone courteously and take messages; follow regulations for food and cleanliness.
